The irresistible unisex fragrance Tom Ford Sole di Positano is a composition created by the collaboration of the French star perfumers Olivier Gillotin and Aurélien Guichard.

Born in Bretany, Olivier Gillotin studied biology in Paris before following his cousin, a perfumer at Chanel, and making the world of beautiful fragrance the center of his life. After graduating from the legendary Givaudan Perfume Institute, he stayed with the company and is now Vice President of Fragrance for Givaudan in the United States.

Gillotin is considered a master of art and niche perfumes and enriched the collections of such exclusive labels as Dior, Calvin Klein and Givenchy with his compositions. In addition to Tom Ford Sole di Positano, he developed four other successful perfumes for the American designer label, in which his favorite notes of vanilla, peony and bergamot repeatedly have their say.

Aurélien Guichard was born in the perfume capital of the world, in Grasse, France. His grandparents already planted roses and jasmine for perfume production. Aurélien Guichard followed his father's example and graduated from the famous Givaudan perfume school. Since 2015, he has put his extraordinary talent at the service of the Swiss fragrance and flavor manufacturer Firmenich, based in Geneva.

More than 120 fragrance compositions, including well-known perfumes for luxury brands such as Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Jean Paul Gaultier, today prove Guichard to be the undisputed master of his trade. One of his latest creations, the unisex fragrance Armani Privé - Bleu Turquoise, launched in 2018, caused a stir in the industry. In the top note, it combines salty accents with incense and black pepper to create a unique fragrance experience, which is intensified by jasmine, cypriol, ylang-ylang, vanilla moss and sandalwood.
